Got Solar

I had solar panels installed almost 3 years ago and it was one of the best investments I have made. Depending on one's situation, it is pretty much a no-brainer. So far my electric payments have been zero. In fact SDGE owes me about $200. Every jurisdiction is different but it does seem like the state and local programs are becoming less generous although the 30% federal tax credit looks good for another year or two. If you are on the fence, I would get a bid now while net metering is still available. Once you have the bids, it becomes a relatively simple math problem. If you have cash in the bank earning almost 0 and/or paying federal income tax, the math looks pretty compelling. Solar has been a positive on many levels.
