Get up to $2,000 to replace your old wood burning fireplace

–Calling all Paso Robles residents! The SLO County Air Pollution Control District has funding available to help Paso residents clean up their wood burning fireplaces and stoves.

Fine particles from wood smoke can cause breathing problems for many residents, especially those with pre-existing conditions such as asthma or other lung and heart diseases, while long-term exposure has been linked to reduced lung function and growth in children, as well as lung cancer.

Help protect our blue skies and the health of yourself, your family and your neighbors by replacing that old wood burning device with a cleaner-burning natural gas or propane device and receive up to $2,000!

$1,000 to replace a wood or pellet burning stove or insert; or,
$2,000 to replace a conventional open-hearth fireplace, whether masonry, prefabricated, or zero-clearance.

Funding is limited and will be awarded first-come, first-served. Work may not begin on your project before receiving a voucher from the SLO County Air Pollution Control District.
