CONNECTICUT Wood Smoke Problems Contact Nancy Alderman ASAP

Postby turning_blue » Sat Dec 13, 2008 9:51 am

I am forwarding an email I received from Nancy Alderman, President of Environment and Human health, Inc.

Dear All,

The Environment and Human Health, Inc. needs two things. We are once again getting phone calls from people who are being made sick by their neighbor's woodsmoke.

What we need----

!. Would all those people who live in CT and want to help with this issue - please respond and we will put you on the "woodsmoke e-mail list."

2. Would all those people who live in CT and are being harmed by their neighbor's woodsmoke please respond with their own CONCISE story of their woodsmoke problem.

We know there are many of you - and the harms vary from outdoor burning (often with permits) - to woodstoves - to chimney exhaust - etc. We will need all of these if we are to move this issue along.

Environmental and Human Health, Inc. is very sympathetic and knows the harms of breathing woodsmoke and therefore would like to try to help those being affected.

For anyone who is interested - our brochure on the Harmful Effects of Woodsmoke can be found at
http://www.ehhi.org/woodsmoke/health_effects.shtml

Best, Nancy
